Family Reunion 2019- New Orleans

Every year Keller Williams holds our HUGE National Convention. This year it was held in New Orleans, LA. Over 80,000 agents from around the world attended this amazing convention. We were proud to be there and a part of this historic meeting. You may be asking yourself, why do I care? Great question. You always hear me say how “hyper-local” real estate is and that is VERY true!!! That being said it is also very important to understand how the national and even international real estate market is doing and how those trends affect our local market. That is just one of the important pieces of market knowledge we get by attending. We are also trained on changes that are coming to the real estate market and how we can use these new tools and systems to best serve our clients. We connect with agents around the nation and even the world so that we have the relationships to help guide our clients when they are relocating or have properties to sell in other states. We drill down int...

Top 8 Home Design and Remodeling Trends for 2019

If you’re a current homeowner, or in the market to buy, you’re probably curious about the latest trends in home design. Sellers who make strategic updates before listing a property can generate increased interest from buyers and, in some cases, a premium selling price. And buyers should consider which features of a home will need updating immediately (or in the near future) so they can factor renovation costs into their overall budget. Even if you have no immediate plans to buy or sell, we advise our clients to be thoughtful about the colors, materials, and finishes they select when planning a remodel. Making over-personalized or unpopular design choices could hurt a home’s value when it does come time to sell. And selecting out-of-style or overly-trendy elements could cause your renovation to feel dated quickly. To help, we’ve rounded up eight of the hottest home design trends for 2019. Keep in mind, not all trends will work well in every house. If you plan to buy, list, ...

What's Ahead for Real Estate in 2019?

What’s Ahead for Real Estate in 2019? As we begin another year, everyone wants to know: “Where is the housing market headed in 2019?” It’s not only buyers, sellers, and homeowners who are impacted. The real estate market plays an integral role in the overall U.S. economy.   Fortunately, key indicators point toward a stable housing market in 2019 with signs of modest growth. However, shifting conditions could impact you if you plan to buy, sell, or refinance this year. HOME VALUES WILL INCREASE The value of real estate will continue to rise. Freddie Mac predicts housing prices will increase by 4.3 percent in 2019. 1   While the rapid price appreciation we witnessed earlier in the decade has slowed, the combination of a strong economy, low unemployment, and a lack of inventory in many market segments continues to push prices higher. "Ninety percent of markets are experiencing price gains while very few are experiencing consistent price declines," a...

How to Set New Years Goals You Can Actually Achieve

How to Set New Years Goals You Can Actually Achieve January 2019 (WHAT?!) is upon us and 'tis the season for reviewing 2018 and setting your goals for 2019. Everyone's homes are different but in the Evans home, January 1st was always accompanied with a trip to Del Taco to put on our final few pounds and resolve to loose them that year and of course to set other goals that we hoped to achieve the upcoming year. Unfortunately, as we looked back at the ending year we were usually disappointed to find that we had only reached a handful of our goals. I always remember being so discouraged and frankly completely turned off to the idea of setting more goals that I knew I would forget in a couple weeks. As I have grown up I've learned how to set better goals for me that I can actually achieve. Now, I won't say I reach them all, because that would be lying, but I believe that I have figured out a couple ways that make it much more attainable for me. Let's talk ...

Arizona Christmas Traditions

Here in the Evans Home we have a lot of Christmas season traditions. Arizona is definitely not your typical winter wonderland but I, for one, am extremely grateful to not have to shovel snow every morning. (Sorry Katelyn and Garrett, you chose to live in Utah, so that's your own fault). We thought it would be fun to share some of our Christmas traditions with you, and we want to know what your family's traditions are too! Make sure to comment below and let us know!! First, we want to share a few of our more comedic Arizona traditions. If you're not from Arizona, you will definitely find these comedic. If you ARE from Arizona you probably have seen these on every corner or in every house. Because where else are you going to put Santa hats in your front yard? With the average temperature in the valley being around 70 degrees during the day you're more likely to see a "fireplace" on a TV then actually being utilized in a home. If you ask us we ...
